Chelsea attacking midfielder Cole Palmer did not feature against Brighton due to a minor hamstring injury.
Speaking in the build-up to the 3-0 defeat at the Amex, Liam Rosenior hinted that the player is also a doubt for the match at Wembley against Leeds:
“Cole has had some tightness in his hamstring, which he’s been carrying for a while. So, he’s going to be out for this game, and we’ll see how he moves on for this FA Cup semi-final.”
You can’t take a risk on hamstring injuries, as there is a chance that Palmer could make it worse and be out for several months, so don’t expect him to feature on Sunday.
Expected Return Date – Monday 4th May vs Nottingham Forest (h)
João Pedro
The Brazilian international has missed the last two matches against Manchester United and Brighton with a thigh issue.
Rosenior expressed hope that Pedro would be back for the match on Tuesday, but he ultimately conceded that the player wouldn’t be ready:
“Joao Pedro will be good for Sunday. But this game is too close for him.”
By the looks of things, the 24-year-old should be back in contention this weekend.
Expected Return Date – Sunday 26th April vs Leeds (n)
