Virgil van Dijk has paid tribute to Arne Slot after the head coach’s departure from Liverpool.
It was announced on Saturday that Slot’s tenure at Anfield had ended with immediate effect.
The Dutchman delivered the Premier League title in the first of his two seasons in charge and club captain Van Dijk thanked his compatriot in a social media post today.
The skipper wrote: “We’ll never forget winning the Premier League in our first season together. Thank you, Trainer, and best of luck to you and your family for the future.”
