Hugo Ekitike explained the role Liverpool supporters will play in his recovery from a serious Achilles injury.
Scans have confirmed the forward suffered a rupture of the Achilles tendon during the first half of Tuesday’s Champions League affair with Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield.
He will therefore miss the remainder of the Reds’ 2025-26 campaign and be unable to represent France at this summer’s World Cup.
The No.22 posted on Instagram: “It’s hard, maybe even unfair… but I’m grateful this is happening to me here, among you. I’m not alone.
“Your strength and your love will be my driving force. See you again soon, Anfield.”
