However, speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano said:

“The reality is that (with) Marc Cucurella, the situation remains open. If a good bid arrives for Chelsea and for Cucurella, he could still leave Chelsea.”

“Cucurella was very respectful today (in his interview) by saying: ‘I’m happy where I am. My family is happy’. So, Cucurella is not going to force a move. He’s not going to create a problem. But in case of good proposal, Marc Cucurella could still leave Chelsea after the World Cup.”

Most Read on Chelsea News

Romano says that despite links to Barcelona, another team is the favourite to sign Cucurella:

“Atletico Madrid love Cucurella. Atletico Madrid are on it. So, for sure, Atletico consider Cucurella as one of their summer targets. Then, (with) Barcelona, there is an appreciation, but (Alejandro) Balde is still there, and Barcelona have several players in that position.”

“So, at the moment, appreciated the player, yes, he’s a former Barca player, so it would be a nice story, but at the moment, still nothing concrete or official because, again, this depends on the domino of fullbacks.
