We may earn a small commission on items purchased through this article, but that does not affect our editorial judgement.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ex-Chelsea star Joe Cole thinks his former club \u201cshould\u201d consider making a move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Barcelona are not expected to trigger their option to keep the England international on a permanent basis, and Cole says a transfer to Stamford Bridge would make a lot of sense:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s just a matter of the wages and the valuation. Rashford ticks a lot of boxes, but you don\u2019t want to spend a fortune on him \u2013 he\u2019d do a good job for Chelsea.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe needs to keep going, Marcus, he needs to keep his confidence up because he rebuilt himself at Barcelona, and there\u2019s still another level for him to jump to. He is currently earning close to \u00a3300,000 a week, which is considerably more than Chelsea\u2019s two highest earners \u2013 Reece James and Wesley Fofana.<\/p>\n<p>The pair take home \u00a3200,000 a week, so unless Rashford is willing to take a pay cut and conform to the club\u2019s wage structure, you can\u2019t see this deal happening.<\/p>\n<p>Get a brand new Chelsea 26\/27 home stadium shirt from Fanatics here<\/p>\n<h2>Chelsea need a left winger<\/h2>\n<p>There is no disputing the fact that the Blues are desperate to strengthen the left flank.
