The first chapter of Ronnie Moran\u2019s legendary service to Liverpool was as a committed and consistent player in the latter half of the 20th century.<\/p>\n
Mr. Liverpool\u2019s journey with the club would last just shy of 50 years, beginning when he joined as a 15-year-old.<\/p>\n
Moran signed professional terms in 1952 and debuted for the senior team in the same year, away at Derby County. <\/p>\n
The left-back was a bit-part player in his first few seasons but established himself in the side from 1955-56 onwards.<\/p>\n
And there could certainly be no doubt about Moran\u2019s immense commitment to the cause. On a Saturday in March 1957, he helped Liverpool win a match at Anfield and<\/em> got married.<\/p>\n By the time Bill Shankly<\/u><\/strong> arrived in 1959, Moran was club captain, but he struggled with injury early in the Scot\u2019s reign.
