{"id":317,"date":"2026-04-18T15:10:38","date_gmt":"2026-04-18T15:10:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zeeworld.name.ng\/?p=317"},"modified":"2026-04-18T15:10:38","modified_gmt":"2026-04-18T15:10:38","slug":"u21s-match-report-will-wright-and-keyrol-figueroa-score-braces-in-liverpools-friendly-win","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/zeeworld.name.ng\/?p=317","title":{"rendered":"U21s match report: Will Wright and Keyrol Figueroa score braces in Liverpool&#8217;s friendly win"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Will Wright and the returning Keyrol Figueroa scored doubles for the Reds at the Kirkby Academy.<\/p>\n<p>Kareem Ahmed and Michael Laffey added their names to the scoresheet in the second half. <\/p>\n<p>Wright put Rob Page&#8217;s side 1-0 up on the quarter-hour mark with a well-taken finish following good work from Josh Sonni-Lambie down the left.<\/p>\n<p>He grabbed his second 10 minutes later, lobbing the visiting goalkeeper after latching on to Kornel Misciur&#8217;s ball over the top.<\/p>\n<p>Wright made way at half-time for Figueroa, who took to the pitch for the first time in more than two months following injury. <\/p>\n<p>It took just five minutes for the USA youth international to find his scoring touch again, firing into the bottom corner from Joe Bradshaw&#8217;s tee-up. <\/p>\n<p>Another forward introduced at the break got in on the act midway through the second period, with Ahmed adding the finishing touch to a Bradshaw cross.<\/p>\n<p>Ahmed then turned provider to set up Laffey and the scoring was completed by Figueroa&#8217;s curler in the 82nd minute.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Liverpool:<\/strong> Misciur, Miles (Pinnington (46), Adekoya (Ndiaye (30), Nallo (Airoboma (46), Pitt, Kelly (Laffey (30), Bradshaw, Trueman (McConnell (46), W.
