{"id":3095,"date":"2026-05-11T09:50:21","date_gmt":"2026-05-11T09:50:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zeeworld.name.ng\/?p=3095"},"modified":"2026-05-11T09:50:21","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T09:50:21","slug":"lfc-releases-images-of-permanent-memorial-in-honour-of-diogo-jota-and-andre-silva","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/zeeworld.name.ng\/?p=3095","title":{"rendered":"LFC releases images of permanent memorial in honour of Diogo Jota and Andr\u00e9 Silva"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"main\">\n<div class=\"css-1q862e8\">\n<div class=\"css-16p0iqu\">\n<div class=\"css-qn9caw\"><span class=\"css-1n6rhip\">Published<!-- --> <time datetime=\"2026-05-11\"><span class=\"css-18l3nyz\">51 minutes ago<\/span><\/time> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>By Liverpool FC<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"css-1nm5e1u\">Liverpool FC has today revealed images of the new permanent memorial at Anfield in tribute to Diogo Jota and his brother Andr\u00e9 Silva, following their tragic passing last July.<\/p>\n<div class=\"css-gtn94w\">\n<div class=\"css-1l9nrdv\">\n<div class=\"css-ys7460\">\n<p>Titled &#8216;Forever 20&#8217;, it celebrates their lives, their bond, and the love and respect felt by family, teammates and supporters across the world.<\/p>\n<p>At its centre is a flowing heart sculpture, in acknowledgement of Diogo&#8217;s iconic goal celebration, while viewed from different angles it also reveals the numbers 20 and 30, which adorned the back of the brothers&#8217; playing shirts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"css-1l9nrdv\">\n<div class=\"css-ys7460\">\n<p>It will also feature the lyrics to Jota&#8217;s famous song so beloved by Liverpool fans \u2013 one they still sing at every game on the 20th minute.<\/p>\n<p>The club will provide further updates on when the sculpture will be officially unveiled but can confirm it will be positioned on 97 Avenue, where thousands of physical tributes \u2013 including flowers, scarves, works of art, cards, banners and opposition jerseys \u2013 were placed to create a poignant tribute area in the immediate aftermath of their loss.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"css-1l9nrdv\">\n<div class=\"css-ys7460\">\n<p>It will stand on a Granby Rock\u2011faced stone plinth, laser\u2011engraved with a dedication to both brothers, and incorporated into the plinth itself are many of the physical tributes that were left at Anfield.
